We represent all segments of the aviation industry including airlines, leasing companies, airport operators, aviation logistics services providers, aerospace manufacturers, financiers, aviation insurers, repair facilities, and regulators.
The firm acts as Nigerian counsel for four international flag carriers and several independent airlines in matters ranging from commercial, finance, labour and employee issues, regulatory, passenger, cargo and baggage claims to insurance disputes. We are currently advising an insurance company, and a leading aircraft manufacturer and their underwriters in product liability claims. The firm represented ECA lenders in a $300 million aircraft acquisition financing involving sale/leaseback, mortgage and senior and subordinated loans, registration, securitization and recovery of aviation assets. We are advising a major international airline in its bid to establish an aircraft maintenance facility in Nigeria.
